Tamizh Ootru
My greetings to my dear Wisconsin Tamil Sangam (WITS)
We all have some unique talent buried within us. At the same time, we are a little reluctant to show them to the outside world. Tamizh Ootru, the quarterly magazine of our WITS Tamil Society, is a bridge established to overcome that hesitation and bring out their creativity.
Channel your best talents into creations. We are looking forward to printing and distributing them to everyone.
About the works:
1. Children and adults stories (ten second stories, minute stories, short stories), poems, essays, sketches, kolams, travels, riddles, jokes, adventures, science and culinary Tamil works are all welcome.
2. I would like to inform you that you can also write an interesting incident in your life for the new sections ‘Unforgettable Curfew’ and ‘WITS and Me’.
3. I am happy to say that if you publish and send the programs in the form of articles to further color the events of our Tamil schools and Tamil Sangha, they will be featured in Tamizh Ootru and they will always be the evidence of our memories.
Tips for creators to focus on:
1. Works should be in Tamil.
2. Works must be typed in Microsoft Word or Google Docx.
3. It is good to have creator’s full name, address, phone number, photo, brief introduction with suitable title.
4. Works that do not affect the sentiments of others without regard to religion, caste, race, color and political color are welcome.
5. Works by members of the Michigan Tamil Society are good.
6. Rules to be followed by the senders of paintings: The paintings should be painted in landscape.
